You want to obtain your own
web site and make some money out of it but don't have a specific topic
or product in mind?
Don't worry! There are hundreds
if not thousands of sites out there just waiting to sign you up for you
to sell their products or services, and to give you your own web page/site
on which to do it. I have spent hours looking at many of them. Some appear
to be very good, many of them average and quite a few are there just to
take your money off you !
First you have to decide whether
you want to sell an actual product - books, CD's, travel, computer games
etc., or if you wish to sell an information or marketing service.
Secondly you have to decide
if, in the first instance, you are prepared to pay for your new web site,
or if you want one for free.
Of the ones I have looked at,
I would suggest you check out the following (for more affiliate programmes
and informative articles on being a successful affiliate, check out our
Affiliate Resource Centre).
- MARKETING SERVICES -
Two of the best sites on the web if you wish to concentrate on selling
"information" to other web users (an extremely competitive
area) are run by two of the Internet's best known entrepreneurs, whose
names you will keep coming across as you travel the net, Ken Evoy and
Corey Rudl. Ken runs the excellent SITESELL
range of programmes, while the INTERNET
MARKETING CENTRE is the site of Corey, an in depth interview
with whom you can read
here. Both of these programmes give you a web page with your own
ID on so that you can advertise the site and gain referral commissions
for sales made. They both offer a wide range of FREE information for
their affiliates, and the services they offer are widely regarded as
among the best available. I would strongly advise that if you are looking
to go down this road, at the very least you check out these two sites,
for you will find the free information of great use, even if you don't
take it any further.
- For selling a marketing
product, the ROIbot
programme is very difficult to beat. The star of their range is their
adtracking software, and this has now been supplemented by a host of
other valuable software programmes. Again, they provide excellent affiliate
support. Well worth checking out.
- The
Newbie Club
This site provides tons of valuable information for both new and old
computer and Internet users. The site is chock full of usefull info
and they also sell a wide range of informative books. In addition, affiliates
are provided with a great back up service as well as the opportunity
to earn good commissions

-
GOODS
- One of the most successful home based businesses around at the moment,
is selling Viagra, Propecia, Celebrex and Xenical (online sales for
hair loss, slimming, arthritis and impotence pills) supplied by KwikMed.
Everything is professionally done for you complete with an automated
marketing system for FREE! This is NOT MLM , you will be selling real
products that people world-wide need! They will also provide a Spanish
speaking site.
- BOOKS - Many people
are successfully running book or music stores on the net, often concentrating
on their own particular interest, or hobby (e.g. books on fishing, or
a music store for trad jazz) Two of the biggest online stores with good
affiliate programmes are Amazon.com
and Barnes
& Noble Both of these sites offer a wide variety of linking
options and give you every opportunity to build an effective book store.
As well as books they both offer a wide range of other products such
as software and CD's etc.
-
MLM (Multilevel
Marketing) - Now to be honest, I am not a great fan of MLM, partly
because I am old and cynical, and partly because when I was young
and innocent (many years ago) I got involved in a Pyramid selling
scheme and ended up with crates of engine oil additive in my father's
garage, and a large hole in my bank balance! I have always steered
clear of the likes of Amway and Herbal Life, although I do know some
people who have made money through them. There are many programmes
on the net that offer you vast wealth for doing nothing, and promise
an endless, increasing income for life. Generally speaking I believe
that if an offer looks too good to be true, then it probably is.
